Henrietta Treyz
Managing Partner and Director of Economic Policy Research
Veda Partners

Henrietta Treyz is a Managing Partner and Director of Economic Policy Research at Veda Partners, an investment advisory firm. Henrietta has been providing investors with economic policy analysis for over 15 years, leading a macroeconomic policy team through the recession, financial services reform, healthcare reform, the US-China trade war, sanctions regimes and other trade remedies of multiple administrations impacting the global marketplace and investment community. Recently, the fallout from the COVID-19 crisis and various fiscal stimulus proposals in Washington have been her primary focus.

Henrietta’s analysis is derived from legislative, regulatory and political events nationally and at the state level on issues as diverse as the border tax adjustment, national security and other tariffs, taxation of foreign derived earnings, corporate inversions, the debt ceiling and other economic and fiscal priorities of Capitol Hill. Her thesis on trade has been consistent since 4Q2017 when the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law and it became clear tariffs and an escalation in US-China tensions would become a main feature of the global economy.

Prior to Veda, Henrietta led the macroeconomic policy team at a DC-based broker dealer for eight years after serving in the U.S. Senate covering the Senate Finance, Banking and Budget Committees, most critically during the Great Recession. Her time in the Senate revolved around the creation and passage of the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and the automotive industry crisis of 2008-10. Prior to serving in the U.S. Senate, Henrietta covered tax, financial services, and deficit issues for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served as a research fellow to Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY). Before moving to Washington, Henrietta spent several years as a Research Associate at Zweig-DiMenna, LLC, a long-standing hedge fund in New York.
