Ben Barasky represents Vanguard on a broad range of public policy issues, while meeting regularly with Washington policymakers on financial services, retirement, and tax policy issues.

Prior to joining Vanguard in 2017, Barasky served in a variety of roles for multiple Members of Congress on Capitol Hill, most recently as the Legislative Director for a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees tax law. He served as chief policy advisor on numerous issues, including financial services and trade, and worked closely on CFTC reauthorization efforts among many others. He previously provided legislative support for a member of the House Education and Labor Committee, which has jurisdiction over retirement savings and other ERISA matters.

Barasky earned a B.A. from Indiana University and an M.P.S. in legislative affairs from the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
