Technological innovation and digitalization are progressing at a rapid pace, despite some regulatory headwinds. This past August marked the 10th anniversary of Marc Andreessen’s famous “Software is Eating the World” op-ed in The Wall Street Journal. New technology is transforming sectors from education to healthcare to financial services. Technology stocks now make up nearly a quarter of the market cap of the S&P 500, with most of that value in just five mega-cap stocks. Is this concentration a looming risk, or simply an indicator of how deeply intertwined technology firms have become with the broader economy? How should investors think about software-based businesses and take advantage of the dynamics in this space? And what’s next for technology sector investments, both domestically and internationally?

Join us for the perspectives of several tech sector experts.

Speakers:
  • John K. Freeman is Vice President of Equity Research at CFRA, covering several segments within the Information Technology and Communication Services sectors. Prior to joining CFRA in 2019, John co-founded Samadhi Capital Partners, an investment advisor and equity research firm where he developed an investment process and framework targeted at tech sector equities.
