Just in time for the holidays, the WAMM Board and Officers are pleased to invite you to a special screening of the classic finance comedy Trading Places.
Released in 1983 and starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, Trading Places remains one of the most iconic films ever made about markets, incentives, and the human side of finance. Beneath its humor lies a sharp commentary on wealth, privilege, financial ethics, and the mechanisms of commodities trading. After the screening, we’ll host an informal discussion on themes inspired by the film, including market structure evolution since the 1980s and the role of behavioral finance. Light refreshments will be provided.
